Akira Nijino is a railway worker for the Rainbow Line who was
originally a member of the Shadow Line and comrade of General Schwarz's
named Zaram (ザラム Zaramu). Possessing the power to cause rain, Zaram
believed his power is capable of great evil. But upon seeing a rainbow
for the first time, Zaram joined the Rainbow Line to atone for his
self-deluded past sins until he finds a place worth dying for his
newfound cause. Though Zaram renounced his origins, his power to cause
rain lingered on. When the ToQgers come across him after learning that
the Conductor had obtained equipment for a sixth ToQger, Right realizes
he will be perfect for the job, even after Zaram tells him his past.
When General Schwarz threatens the other ToQgers and Right is out of
commission, Zaram is talked into becoming ToQ 6gou on the notion that
he can finally be able to die to atone for his past sins. But Zaram
survived and return the items Right before walking off. Though he
refused to join the ToQgers as their sixth member, Zaram changed his
mind when the team gave him his new human name, to break Ring Shadow's
hold over him. But due to his strange behavior, the ToQgers never
realize that Akira never truly saw himself as one of them. Later, while
regaining the stolen Drill Ressha from Schwarz, Akira is forced to make
a deal with the renegade Shadow Line member to join his cause. Though
Akira attempts to help the ToQgers find their hometown before he must
honor his part of his deal, he is recruited by General Schwarz during
the holiday season and becomes their enemy. Following the death of
General Schwarz, Akira returns to the ToQgers after learning that they
cherish their friendship with him.
As ToQ 6gou, colored orange, he uses the AppliChanger (アプリチェンジャー
Apurichenjā) and Build Ressha to transform, and is armed with the
beacon-themed Yudou Breaker (ユウドウブレイカー Yūdō Bureikā) sword which can
use the Drill Ressha for a more powerful finishing attack. ToQ 6gou is
the only member of the ToQgers who cannot perform a Transfer Change;
the Conductor and Ticket explained to the others that he is strong
enough to not need it.
I was happy to see, on Amazon's site, they have some affordable Super Sentai and other Tokusatsu music available for purchase. Its mostly older music collections -- and their "buy it new" price isn't usually very fair -- , but the prices for used CDs are sometimes very affordable! I was able to buy music of Juken Sentai Gekiranger (both the complete series, and the character songs CD), and the collection of Magiranger Music. (You can find that here.)
You sometimes have to use sites like CD Japan to check out (and sometimes hear) what music is on what disks. Sentai Music is cheaper to find, but Kamen Rider Music seems stubbornly out of reach on many occasions with higher prices.
The reason I wanted to get Magiranger music was mainly because of the EPIC song they have for MagiKing (when they combine into a giant robot). The song seemed perfectly matched with a great introduction of MagiKing on the show, which you can see the fight here.
And here, the song is performed by the musicians behind it
This is a blog about Super Sentai. I am trying to show some of the Sentai images I've collected for myself over the years, and have a place where other people can see them all in one place.
The internet just doesn't have many pages that have good quality sentai images, and those that do are scattered and hard to find. So pleae forgive me if I have posted somebody else's image here. If your the originator of one of these images, then please put a post and I'll try and take it down.
I'll also be posting information about Super Sentai and Ranger Profiles - with info on diffrent Rangers, Villains, Allies, and their giant robots (Gattai Focus)
A collection of these bios and images can be found here:
